September 10, 2006: PSI and Boston University Awarded Contract by AFOSR to Develop Video Tracker and Sensor Manager for Small UAV's

Parietal Systems, Inc. and Boston University have teamed to win a Phase I program under the Department of Defense's Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program. This program will combine technologies from PSI and BU into a best of breed solution for controlling and exploiting video streams from small UAV's. BU's Department of Electrical Engineering will be extending their techniques for detecting and tracking small objects from a video sensor mounted on a small unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The resulting data will be used in concert with PSI's sensor management techniques to create a fully autonomous, closed loop system for detecting and tracking objects of interest on the ground.

Parietal Systems , a privately held firm in North Andover, MA, provides engineering support services and technology development for the United States government. PSI's focus is on the development and fielding of information technologies requiring the development of sophisticated mathematical solutions.
