June 13, 2005: PSI Awarded Contract To Develop Novel Techniques for Building Spatio-Temporal Databases

Parietal Systems is pleased to announce the award of a new Phase II SBIR with the United States Air Force Research Lab. This new Phase II SBIR is focused on developing techniques for organizing and querying large-scale databases of spatio-temporal data, particularly data corresponding to moving vehicles. In particular, the emphasis is on developing techniques that will address several of the key issues in storing and manipulating this kind of data, including the development of a novel indexing scheme based upon techniques drawn from syntactic pattern recognition and the representation of various forms of uncertainty within the data.

Parietal Systems , a privately held firm in North Andover, MA, provides engineering support services and technology development for the United States government. PSI's focus is on the development and fielding of information technologies requiring the development of sophisticated mathematical solutions.
