April 27, 2007: PSI Awarded Contract to Develop Large Scale Models of Movement Patterns

Parietal Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce a new Phase I Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contract with the Air Force Research Lab to develop new techniques for analyzing and simulating enormous collections of vehicle movements. This effort will build upon PSI's on-going efforts to develop techniques for organizing, accessing and mining enormous volumes of uncertain, time varying data. Under this program, the effort will be two-fold. First, PSI will explore the use of various techniques drawn from time-series analysis for constructing novel statistical representations of the movement data. Second, these models will be used as the basis for constructing a simulator that is able to build up correct and consistent movement models for large areas (e.g. towns or cities) over long periods of time (e.g. months or years).

Parietal Systems , a privately held firm in North Andover, MA, provides engineering support services and technology development for the United States government. PSI's focus is on the development and fielding of information technologies requiring the development of sophisticated mathematical solutions.
